Don Mendenhall

I am known as a good listener. I apply this same characteristic to my photographic work. I view the art of photography as my second language (sometimes my first!). This approach supports my intention of finding and communicating the subject matter's essence. Much of my life has been that of a teacher, coach, and facilitator. I have used my photographic skills throughout my life.

My primary education at the university level was in the disciplines of history, economics, and education. I have taken four photography courses at Sante Fe Workshops with Joyce Tenneson, George DeWolfe, and Dianne Fitzmaurice. I studied Taoistic photography in Sante Fe as well. Taoistic and contemplative/juxtaposition photography is what I currently enjoy making.

Other training support I have received is from Human Resource Certification from Phiefer & Associates, San Diego, and with Coach U (Life Coaching).

Gallery representation includes the Brewery Gallery in Mineral Point, Wisconsin.

What has been a wonderful learning experience is offering several sole exhibitions at PhotoMidwest in Madison, Wisconsin.
