Marian Gorin

My painting is rooted in the observation of light as a trigger for memory and perception. I am interested in those fleeting moments when an ordinary image — a shadow, a surface, a subtle change of light — transcends the visible and opens an inner, intangible space. Through layers, repetition of gesture and chromatic atmospheres, my work seeks to translate that suspended instant where reality becomes a threshold between the lived and the imagined.
Rather than illustrating, my painting seeks to open a space for the viewer to project their own memories and sensations, inhabiting for an instant a garden of the intangible.

I have a degree in History of Art in Spain and I attended a course in Modern Art at Birkbeck University of London
