Ian Bourgeot is an artist who has lived and worked in Helsinki since 1993. He lived previously in the UK, Mexico, Guatemala, Malaysia, France, Tunisia, and the USA. In 2008 he founded Arkadia International Bookshop in Helsinki and has been running it ever since. He has produced art works since 1983. Ink was from the very start his principal medium, and he has developed an idiosyncratic way of making ink drawings, sometimes mixing ink with coffee. He never showed his works prior to 2015, but has since then exhibited in Helsinki and Tokyo.
