Irina Marques

Based in the historic city of Braga, Irina Marques (b. 1982, Lisbon) creates vibrant visual landscapes where geometry meets emotion. Her artistic journey is a reflection of her path through Portugal. From the light of Lisbon to the creative energy of Porto, where she spent nine years refining her craft and academic background.

Irina’s work is a "puzzle of the soul." Drawing inspiration from literature, travel, and the rhythmic patterns of nature, she translates complex experiences into a language of bold colors and precise shapes. Each composition is a delicate balance of order and intuition, meticulously crafted to represent life as a process of constant learning and discovery.

For Irina, art is not just a visual expression but a sensitive dialogue between the heart and the canvas. Her pieces invite the viewer to find harmony in the abstract, proving that every fragment of our experience has a place in the larger picture of existence.

Irina’s artistic practice is deeply rooted in an extensive academic background. She holds a Degree in Visual Arts and History of Art from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto, where she developed the analytical lens through which she views composition and color. Furthering her expertise in the intersection of culture and space, she completed a Postgraduate degree in Tourist Information and Heritage at the Polytechnic Institute of Management and Technology (ISLA) in Vila Nova de Gaia.
