J Suyi is London based mixed media artist in the U.K.

In her practice, She predominantly uses mixed media in the creation of her abstract works, she prefers to blend, bleed, and boldly use different medium, relinquishing control in favour of expression. she also uses her work to explore her dual cultural identity through re-discoveries of her heritage from travels in Africa juxtaposed with her life and travels in the western world.

She sometimes engage in an intuitive and meditative process, where she lets the creative process guide her which leads to the making of audacious textured abstracts with bright colours and metallic pigments.
She occasionally uses her expressive stokes and multi-layered textures to investigate deep philosophical questions, around existence, spirituality, the way we choose to live our lives as individuals and how we deal with life challenges and navigate societal expectations.

She is self taught and has been creating professionally for the last 7 years.
