Katie Mcintosh

Born in the UK before relocating to Australia in 1997, I am now grateful to call my Bondi Beach studio home.

To me, music, nature and travel are the most important parts of my life which is why my work is heavily influenced by all three. I love how music can immediately transport you to a different emotion, place or time in your life. I am very passionate about our human connection to nature and its ability to heal and ground us. Travel is essential to expanding our minds and exposing us to unexpected and amazing experiences we never thought possible.

I am completely self-taught and have no complex concepts behind my work - I simply paint as I feel, using music, nature and travel as inspiration for my colour palettes and techniques used in any given piece.

Painting for me is both a form of self-expression and release, but also a way to give back - the joy I experience while painting is the same joy I want people to experience when taking in my art in their own space.
