Baking is the key to my secret garden, my way down the rabbit hole, my looking glass.

Bread is my material of choice, a biodegradable product causing my work to have a limited life span.

My work is exploring the properties of handmade bread through the process of producing sculptural forms. My artwork is not only about the sculptural forms but is also about process. The way in which i can manipulate it to a certain extent by trapping it in vessels, once placed into an oven they both change and distort without myself having any control. The process gives my work a somewhat organic feel resembling the process of growth and decay, the bread growing, expanding and he vessels disintegrating and distorting due to the heat.
