Nicola Raimondi

I was born in Italy in 1971 and I currently live in the Canaries Islands (Fuerteventura).
After graduation in Law from the University of Bologna, I worked in the "Fashion World" of Milan and Paris for many years also dedicating my-self to painting, surfing and traveling through America, Europe but mostly Asia from which I draw inspiration for many of may artworks.
My first paints were born practicing the "window-dressing" activity, these were initially abstract works made using various types of materials such as wood, industrial paints and glues.
I'm a self-taught artist and my artworks are almost made by applying the color on the canvas directly with the hands without brush and mixing different materials let everything flow freely.
Many of my paintings are fragile because of the materials used and how the materials themselves are manipulated, I consider this a peculiar characteristic of my works.
