Stefan Smit

I'm a South African artist best known for my contemporary oil portraiture. My mural work has also acquired acclaim as I'm skilled to work in mixed media on a tremendous scale, also painting murals for festivals and companies like Nike, Ray-Ban, Sony etc.

I live and work in Johannesburg, South Africa. My work exhibits in galleries, art fairs, public spaces and a number of private collections.

Smit has given lectures on his style and technique in Denmark, Sri Lanka and several universities but originally studied classical and contemporary music on the piano.
