I investigate,collect and then reassemble images and ideals of beauty and desire.I use themes of decoration and symbolism.
Why do we live in such an amazingly colourful, creative and fascinating world? I wonder how and why nature's beautifully decoratve and complex patterns have evolved and I look at how we have responded to nature's patterns ,rhythms and beats. I look at how we love to decorate ourselves and our environment in order to make us feel better about our existance.I am interested in the powers of attraction, repulsion and camouflage and how different species of life forms have relied upon these mechanisms for survival and reproduction.

I experiment with the boundaries between art, craft, design, popular culture, poetry and music.

I like to create fictional characters which allude to some form of narrative.

I have taught Art and design in schools and colleges in the NW England to a variety of different age groups.
