Manyi Takor

Manyi is a multidisciplinary artist working across drawing, painting and sculpture. Her practice explores cross-cultural production and existentialism, drawing on interests in human physiology, psychology and the metaphysical. It also serves as a tool for self regulation, through which dominant narratives, perception and unconcious bias are interrogated, fashioning new narratives for liminal subjects.
Employing an instinctive approach, Manyi creates both small and large-scale works that evolve through a process of action and reflection, layering shapes, colour, organic forms and the figural. Traces of process are often visible in the final work, communicating the nuance of thought and duality of time.
