Huang Xi (Simao)
Growing up in the porcelain capital of China, Jingdezhen, it was inevitable that I would be exposed to art at a very young age. I was fascinated by the shapes, designs and beauty that was painted onto ceramic works by family members. From this influence, and subsequent artistic progress, a university education led to a career specialising in contemporary art. I am currently working in Beijing and have representation with galleries both in China and abroad.

1991: Graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Jiangxi Normal University.

Presently working as a full time contemporary artist in Beijing.
