Alena Kovalli

"For me, painting is a very intuitive process filled with feelings", - the artist says. "I want the viewer to experience different emotions when looking at the artwork, draw their own conclusions and find their own meanings".

Artist Alena Kovalli was born in 1988 in St. Petersburg, USSR. Now works and lives in a small town in south Turkey.

Passion for unusual textures and the use of mixed painting techniques by various mediums (acrylic, oil, texture paste, gold leaf) allowed the artist to develop her own unique technique. It is based on the process of abstract painting, where the composition of the artwork is created through the play of contrasts of various textures.

In addition, in the process of working on a painting, the artist uses tools that are atypical for painting, such as palette knives, rollers and spatulas. Using non-standard artistic techniques, Alena creates volumetric complex textures and contrasting depth in each of her paintings.
