Amy Albright

Winner of the Midas Award and Outstanding prize at the International E.Sun awards in 2022. Amy’s work has been exhibited internationally and she has achieved many successful Solo shows in the UK.
Amy lives in Cornwall on the North coast with family, She is a member of the prestigious Newlyn Society of Artists and an occasional tutor at St Ives School of painting. Amy was born is Cornwall and has a strong connection to the natural world and surrounding waters of Cornwall.

Collections of Amy's work are held world wide, more recently Amy was commissioned by SAGA and P&O Cruises to produce large paintings for their luxury cruise ships.
I have developed a style of painting that alludes to the cycle of life and its interlinking processes. My painting process is organic, Imitating nature's ephemeral flux. I work intuitively, responding to marks previously made. Think of the many interconnecting forms in the natural world, the quiet underlying processes that often pass almost unnoticed, yet play a unified role in our complex habitat. In order to comprehend natures formation I look at variety of sources including meteorological, astrological, satellite and microscopic imagery.
