Barbara Abeltina

Barbara Ābeltiņa is a contemporary figurative painter from Latvia. She graduated in 2017 from the Art Academy of Latvia with a Master’s degree in Painting. Barbara also holds a Master’s degree in Graphic Art and a Bachelor’s degree in Glass Art. Since 2011, she has participated in group exhibitions throughout Europe and the United States. In 2017, Barbara was recognized as one of the finalists of the Young Painter’s Prize in Vilnius, Lithuania. Her artworks can be found in private collections in Latvia, the USA, Germany, and Lithuania. Her paintings emphasize the idea that art of our age can provide pure aesthetic pleasure without necessarily carrying an imposed concept or meaning. Barbara believes in allowing viewers to interpret her work based on their personal experiences and subjective feelings.
