Fabiano Gagliano

My life is about Art... I don't call myself an "artist" but I am a person who lives into Art and for Art.
I am a hopeless romantic, and I believe in the values of Beauty and Truth.
The roots of my style sink into the past, from the great drawings of the Italian Renaissance to the Symbolists, through the artists of the Pre Raphaelite circle; I am particularly fond of artists like Fernad Khnopff, Gustave Moreau, Dante Gabriel Rossetti and Edward Burne-Jones.
I am basically self-taught, although I did study Art as a child and I also have a degree in Art History.
All my work is centred in the representation of the female figure, which embodies to me the idea of poetic beauty.
My medias are primarily pencils, watercolours, inks and oil, and I prefer paper over canvas.
