Reincarnating unique cultural mélange inspired from life in Korea and North America into classical albeit contemporary artwork, my creative production is defined by grandeur, complexity, and intricate designs with pop art connections.
My Korean cultural heritage, which I remember in the form of folk tales, has been the reason why I paint. Childhood memories that are seemingly distant yet embedded in the layers of my conscience enable me to have respect for the simplest morals in life - discovering wisdom from storytelling,
which qualifies in itself as beautiful art.
While my artwork is established from a foreign cultural point of view, it speaks to the audience through its comprehensible forms and illustration methods. Artwork that speaks to people with different backgrounds, that is what I paint. After all, painting is storytelling.
