Herbert Boettcher

„The environment is the stage for my photographs, it challenges me to formulate in pictures what is not visible. To express these inner landscapes is my motivation as a photographer“, Herbert Böttcher.

Herbert Böttcher was born in Rietberg (Germany) in 1962. The graduate designer lives in Düsseldorf and has been working as a freelance photographer since 1993.
Herbert’s work focuses on the conception and realisation of photo projects for companies, exhibitions and publications. His cooperation partners include well-known companies and associations from Germany and abroad.

From 1988 to 1993 he studied visual communication in the faculty of photo/film design at the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences. From 1995 to 1999 he taught in the faculty of art at the University of Paderborn.
