Joanne Helfert-Sullam

Conservation issues are at the forefront of my creations and my art has been a vehicle to
connect society back with nature.
For most of my career, my work has been focused on nature and capturing what I see in
front of me, working mostly from life.

Ms. Sullam's paintings and sculptures exhibit in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and cultural centers through out the country. Recent commissions include painting three polo ponies’ statues for Polo America.
A Celebrated Wildlife and Landscape Artist, JoAnne Helfert- Sullam’s Award winning work has been featured in the New York Times, who's who in America, Art business news, “The Best of Sporting Art" in Polo Players magazine and on the cover of the Chronicle of the Horse.
Special Congressional Recognition for Work in the Arts by former Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. And is the author of a children's book and has interviewed personalities such as Richard Gere, Bobby Kennedy Jr. and concert pianist/animal activist, Helene Grimaud.
