Joann Milano Neal

I was born in New York and very much part of the peace and love baby boomer generation. I think my whole life has been spent enjoying the unfolding of a woman's strength and sensual side.Anima/Amimus, the painting for the showdown was a turning point very early in my life. It depicts the essence of everything beautiful and ethereal about the male/female nature and energy. And of love.

I studied at the High School of Art and Design, the sister school to Music and Art which was made famous by "Fame". There we learned to dance with our pens, pencils and brushes instead of our feet. I then went on to FIT to study fashion, Hunter College to eaen a B.A. in Psycology and Fina Art. I aslo attended The Arts Students League.I was voted "Best In Show" at Hunter Arts Gallery, had several exhibits there as well as designing textiles for top designers such as Oscar de la Renta and Calvin Klien. ,
