Juliette Brekman

BIOGRAPHY
Young, extravagant and confident. This is exactly how one can characterize the talented artist Yulia
Brekman, whose work is etched in the memory for a long time. Julia's paintings are primarily portraits and
figurative paintings. Quite often she uses photographs, which she also creates, but does not necessarily
transfer the image directly onto the canvas - they are just a vessel that initiates or ignites the painting,
and the painting develops into something independent of any emotions. Its main goal is to study how a
painting is created in terms of structure, composition, color and marking, rather than focusing solely on
what it represents. Her works are similar to a confession, only she does not directly talk about herself, but
offers associations through which you feel that she is a person of deep soul and thought.
Through painting, color rendering, and composition, Julia tries to reflect her inner experiences and thereby attracts the
viewer’s attention and shares her thoughts with him. The artist’s work can certainly be called dialogical.
There is a feeling that the author lures you into his artistic world, inviting you to think about the most intimate, intimate
