Laura Holman

My love for fashion has been part of my life from a very young age. I love nothing more than drawing the female form in fashion that I envision as well as those that are inspired by clothing designers. Eyes are the window of the soul and each face I create is like creating someone new filled with emotion that I hope connects with the viewer. They are not alive, yet to me in a way they are. I didn't teach myself to draw, I always just knew how to draw from how I see the world as well as from my visual memory. I also create art that focuses on the bond we share with animals in a variety of mediums- pastel, watercolor on paper, and acrylic on canvas. Many times my work will be created using mixed media.

AAS degree in Fashion Illustration from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.

My work has appeared in Playbill when I was a student at FIT.

I've also won a Mame award, as well as a LuLu award for art direction for advertising campaigns, and an
Art Direction Magazine Honorable Mention for a Bijan designer ad.
