Caribbean artist with influences from beautiful and vibrant biodiversity in her home country, Trinidad and Tobago. Having a playful and dynamic artistic style that is experimental, she explores different styles, from using vibrant and fauvist inspired palettes to a monchrome. She is primarily inspired by Chinese landscape ink paintings that have evolved into a more contemporary expressive style.
Her most recent works consist of monchromatic ink paintings that see a greater abstraction of forms, expression and playfulness in design overlays. Her use of ink is therapeutic and meditative where one has to understand the natural flow of ink and how it interacts with layers, water and the paper in creating forms. There is a level of control and letting go in the creative process. Understanding this flow of ink is refelctive of undestanding the flow of life.
