SCARLETT BOWMAN is a London-based Conceptual artist working across Sculpture and Painting addressing themes of Appropriation, Obsolescence and Authorship. Beginning her career as a successful actress featuring on the BBC and Channel 4, Scarlett turned away from the spotlight in 2012 to focus uniquely on her art. Currently studying her MA at Chelsea College of Art, Scarlett’s works have been bought by collectors in London, Berlin and Los Angeles and have featured alongside such names as Tracey Emin and Johnathan Yeo, who described her as “A rising star […] very inventive and definitely someone to watch in the future”. In 2014 Scarlett was approached to exhibit her works at a private Christie’s exhibition, and soon after was commissioned by Soho House Group to feature in their private collection alongside Damien Hirst, Ed Ruscha and Keith Tyson.
