Grazyna Tarkowska

Born in Poland, lives in France, grand niece of the famous filmmaker Andrei Tarkovsky.
The fundamental interest in my work is Man and Nature. The portraits of concrete people, those who witness, allow me to grasp the individuality.
Faces, on the other hand, are the personification of a general idea, universal.
In the sculptures, both small in resin and large in concrete, it is always the Human Body, inhabited by the Spirit that interests me. I am looking for colors, shapes and lights. She participates in exhibitions in Europe, America and Asia.

Grazyna Tarkowska studied between 1980 and 1987 at the University of Nicolas Copernicus in Torun in Poland. In 1987, she obtains the diplomas of Artist Painter and Master in Fine Arts in the same university.
Since then, she has expressed herself through painting, sculpture, drawing and poetry.

2004 First Prize – Gold Medal of the International Academy "Santarita" of Turin – Italy
2006 First prize of the competition organized by the Polish Senate for the 25th commemoration of the martial law of Jaruzelski in Warsaw – Poland
