Dilek Oguz

Dilek Oğuz was born in Balikesir, Turkey in 1946. She graduated from Ankara University, Language, History and Geography Department, specializing on history. She realized her passion towards art while she was teaching highschool. She professionally started focusing on oil painting when she retired in 1994. She took lessons from Dr. Kaya Üçer Münevver Üçer's Studio from the famous artist Sadık Babayev Hanlaroğlu. In June 2001, she participated in Istanbul Kadıköy Belediyesi Caddebostan Civic Center's Art Exhibition. She teamed up with two of her artist colleagues from the studio to form a group named Friday Professionals (Cuma Gunu Ustalari), and participated in multiple solo exhibitions and exhibitions with her colleagues ever since.
