Armen Ter-Mkrtchyan

My name is Armen and surname is Ter-Mkrtchyan. I was born on the twenty-ninth of November in 1963 in Leninakan, Armenia.

In 1981 I finished 23rd primary school and admitted Leninakan’s 49th professional college.

In 1982 I graduated from the college getting qualification for the editor of radio equipment.

Till 1992 I had been working at the same college as a master of vocational training.

In 1988 I continued my studies at Saint-Petersburg State Art Academy and finished it in 1994 getting degree in film direction.

As a main director I was working at "Shirak" State TV Radio Studio from 1993 till 1995. During these years I was interested in photography.

As a photographer I was working at the Centre of Contemporary Art from 2000 till 2003. During 2009-2010 I was a lecturer and was teaching cinematography at Gyumri branch of Yerevan State institute of Cinema and Theatre.

From 2016 till 2017 as a lecturer I was teaching at Gyumri branch of Yerevan State academy of fine art.

In recent years I have participated in several group exhibitions and projects in Armenia and abroad.
