Larisa Ruy

I didn’t follow classical paths in art. I created my own technique by combining bas-relief, oil painting and gilding. My works are not just images but layered symbolic structures that affect both the space and the viewer on a deep subconscious level.

For me, art is a way to access the unseen, to touch archetypes, emotional states and inner transformations that go beyond words. I work in the genre of symbolism, where every texture, line and shadow carries meaning. These are living objects that transform the space around them and open something in those who observe.

I hold two higher degrees in the humanities - pedagogy and personnel management - and completed postgraduate research studies at NUBiP of Ukraine.
In parallel, I spent over ten years studying psychological disciplines such as psychoanalysis, existential therapy, and neuro-linguistic programming.
This experience informs my artistic practice, where I explore symbolism, emotional depth, and the subconscious effect of visual form.
