I'm a retired firefighter who has always had a burning desire to create images that would satisfy my own curiosities and that people would enjoy. I acquired my first camera at 11 years old, A Brownie Hawkeye that I still have. I've been pointing cameras at everything, ever since, to see what would happen. The results have improved with fits and starts over the years as technology and my skill progressed. I like the pursuit of the perfection that I know will never be reached.

Largely self-taught out of an intense curiosity about all things. I've connected interests in mathematics and physical sciences to my art. Many of my pieces start with the question: "What would happen if....." or "I know what I want to happen, now how can I get there?" Experimentation and trial and error are the vehicles. Happy accidents and occasionally an intentional success are the results. My hope and expectation is that I will never reach a point that feels like it's all been done, that there will always be something new to create or discover.
