Romeo Dobrota

Creating art is my lifelong passion. Originating from Sibiu, Romania, and now for 3 decades residing in Toronto, Canada, for the past three decades, my artistic journey spans decades, countries and continents. My art explores innovative concepts of cultural education, forging connections between art, science, and culture. I have had the privilege of collaborating with international institutions across interdisciplinary fields within the creative arts.
My evolution as an artist has been marked by a transition from realistic paintings to the realm of abstract art, which I have thoroughly enjoyed. I discovered a profound means of self-expression through vibrant colours and intricate structures. Delving into the interplay of shadows and contrasts, I infuse my artworks with light, joy, poetry, and provocation, striving to evoke emotional responses in viewers.
