Eugene Matiushenko

My name is Eugene Matiushenko. Born on 14th November 1987 Horishni Plavni (known as Komsomolsk),Poltava region.

I started drawing since my childhood, I always wanted to be a painter, but didn't receive desired education in this field, I graduated from the University in Poltava in the financial department.

It was in 2010, when I realized that art is important and serious for me, in addition to sketches, outlines and computer drawings, I have taken in the hand the canvas and continue learning the fundamentals of art from the other side. It seemed to me that I was not bad at it, I was writing for just developing myself, my thoughts and ideas, and later in the spring 2013, I was allowed to hold my first solo exhibition in my city, under the title "Enjoy or try to understand." There was presented approximately 25 works, written in the period from 2010 to 2013. The works were in different styles of performance from pop-art to realism and abstraction, with different ideas, that's why exhibition got this title.
Together with other young painters, from 2013 I participated in several major joint exhibitions like “Artists say” in 2014 (Modern Art Research Institute of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine), “Kilogram-power-meter” in 2014 (Art-Picnic), “Art for sale” 2016 (Gogolfest), "Controversion" 2018 (Kremenchug). In April 2016, in my city there was one more my personal exhibition with antisocial mood, under the title “Interview after execution” focuses on problems in society and relations between people.
