Damir Krivenko

I was born in St. Petersburg, Russia, to the family of an artist and arts critic. As a young man, I lived in Kazakhstan, where I had a personal gallery, working under the aegis of the President of Kazakhstan. My canvases were part of his gift fund. My paintings were presented to Bill Clinton, Emperor of Japan, Pope John Paul II, President of Uzbekistan, and other celebrities.

Then I lived and worked in the Czech Republic, where jointly with the Kazakhstan Embassy I was involved in the organisation of exhibitions of Kazakhstani culture in the European countries, and took part in these exhibitions.

When I understood that in order to be able to develop as an innovating artist, I would need a calmer place and time – and I moved to Anapa, where I have lived for the past twenty year. Recently, I have created three new projects, including the development of a new painting trend, Paletteism.
