Donna Louise Fletcher

Sydney born Artist, Donna Louise Fletcher’s creative passion ignited in early childhood. Although her path did deviate from her artistic endeavours for many years her passion never waned and she has spent the past seventeen years carving out her visual arts practice.

Donna is drawn to the spontaneity of abstract expressionism. In particular the non literal way in which this genre can tell a story and make an emotional connection with the viewer.

Donna completed a Bachelor of Fine Art, at the University of Newcastle in 2008. She has had several solo exhibitions and has been involved in numerous group exhibitions both, nationally and internationally. Highlights include; exhibiting in London for the first time in 2018, exhibiting at the City Recital Hall, Sydney in 2020 and her inclusion in a beautiful coffee table book featuring artists from her region in 2022.

A two- time finalist in the Gosford Art Prize with her work shortlisted by judge, Brian Stratton in 2019, she won first prize for the Non – Indigenous category in the Reconciliation Art Awards in 2010, held at the Gosford Regional Gallery and has been a two-time finalist in the Lethbridge Art Prize online in Queensland, as well as gaining numerous accolades and recog...
