My name is Andrey Laponov, an artist from Ukraine working in the genres of symbolism, abstraction, and realism. My artistic journey began with training in restoration workshops, where I studied and absorbed the traditions of the old masters. This experience shaped my approach, in which I strive to convey the depth of human emotions and invite the viewer to reflect on hidden meanings that often go unnoticed in everyday life. I received an education in restoration, which gave me a unique perspective on creating art. Knowledge of traditional techniques and materials allows me to work with rare components, such as gold leaf, wood, and oil paints, creating layered, textured compositions.
