Damir Kopic

During a twenty five year span of revealing mine unique brand of artistic expression, I have shown a few different phases.
Starting with shells as a motive, recreating its original shape into new forms, I walked into a world that was unto itself. My technique evolved when the objects on the paper before me started to group themselves into new forms (pastel on paper). I do not repeat what nature has created but instead manipulate the process of creation. Working in the technique of oil on canvas, my painting went in the direction of surrealism.

On the Zagreb Academy of Fine
Arts I received my diploma 1996. Under the guidance of professor Frane Paro throughout my studies I was an active member of Vrbnik Graphic Academy. From 1998, I am a member of the Croatian Artist Society.

Since 1994 I produced thirteen independent exhibitions and ten group exhibitions in Croatia (Zagreb, Rijeka, Osijek, Makarska, Vrbnik, Casma, Radovljica and Novi Vinodolski).
