Tetsuya studied Bachelor of Fine Art in painting at The National Art School in Sydney.
He awarded FONAS Art School Ball prize for drawing in 2010, the Lennox Street Studio Residency Award in 2013 at the National Art School and The Place of Reed Art Prize at Kogarah Art Prize in 2015.
He was a finalist for the City of Albany Art Prize in 2012, Calleen Art Award in 2012, St George Award in 2014, 2016, Honsby Art Prize in 2015 and Kogarah Art Prize in 2015, 2016 and Clifton Art Prize in Sydney in 2016.
His painting is a collection of George River Counsel and a drawing is a collection of National Art School.
