Veronica Watson

I was born in the county of Yorkshire, England, and grew up in the north east of the country. From the age of ten, when my father bought me my first camera (a Kodak Brownie 620), I have always been interested in taking photographs. Since leaving university I have moved around the country and travelled extensively worldwide, and now reside in the county of Rutland, England. A few years ago I took photography up more seriously, and now devote much of my time to it.
I have undertaken various photographic courses and workshops, both in the UK and abroad.
I belong to a local photographic society, and have had much success in competitions.
My work has been exhibited over the last few years in our society exhibitions.
I have an eclectic interest in photographic subjects, which, at times, leans towards landscapes.
I am interested in developing fine art photography.

After leaving primary school, I went to an all girls' high school until the age of eighteen. Thereafter, I attended the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, gaining a BSc Honours degree in Botany and Bacteriology, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Landscape Architecture.
I have also studied music, specifically through the piano and classical guitar.

As a result of being a member of a photographic society, some of my work has been exhibited locally at Stamford Arts Centre and Rutland County Museum.
