George Meurme is a talented and passionate fine art photographer and curator from Tbilisi, Georgia. He started his career as a scientist and obtained his Masters in Philosophy of Social Anthropology in Bergen, Norway. During his time as a scientist, he collected visual materials, which eventually led him to pursue his passion for photography and art.
George creates surreal images that are connected with social themes, expressing the problems faced by society in Ex-Soviet countries. His artwork explores themes such as human rights, gender equality, violence, identity, poverty, and dreams. He has a unique style that involves mixed techniques of photo paper, wood, and painting, which gives his artwork a distinctive look and feel. His artwork is often limited edition (1/5), making each piece a unique and unrepeatable creation.
Since 2023, George has expanded his artistic repertoire by exploring the use of AI art. This has allowed him to push the boundaries of traditional art forms and explore new and exciting creative possibilities.
