Orkhan Sadiqov

I am 56 and was born and raised in Azerbaijan, Baku - mysterious country in Caucasus famously known as the Land of Fire because of the eternal flames spread across the mountains for ages, throughout history. By the way, according to one of the legends, it is the fire stolen from God by Prometheus, who after ran away to Caucasus mountains. From the other side the country is situated on the shore of Caspian sea and surrounded by waters.

Sometimes I think that its impossible not to be an artist in this country no matter what education you have. That is what happened to me. Graduated from the Economic University and having spent a few years in industry, i turned myself to painting. Art lessons taken from the serious teachers left no doubts that I was on my own way and would say that I completely melted and dissolved in.
