James Rhodes

James Rhodes primarily works within the medium of photography. Rhodes explores memory and his own relationship to photographs through the interconnection between the image and materiality of his works. By playing with the inherent illusion embedded in a medium that is praised for its ability to tell the 'truth', Rhodes uncovers his own way of experiencing, and making sense of, the world around him.

James Rhodes completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts with First Class Honours in 2015 and is currently completing his Ph.D. in fine art while Lecturing in Photography at The University of Newcastle.
