I interpret the natural world and the built world, through colour and paint. Depending on my mood and the season - I love to paint local scenes in a semi abstract style - the motorway or the canal, or perhaps the river.
Preferring to paint a broad range of subject matter, I find different views and objects require slightly different ways of working, I enjoy all these aspects of painting.
Most of my work is semi abstract and painted in layers with acrylic paint, and sometimes wax or oil paint on the surface.
The tangle of nature is always uplifting to paint and perhaps the motorway is a less obvious choice, but at night when the lights bounce around on the tarmac it can be really beautiful.

No formal Art School training but many classes taken at Richmond College.
