Mathew Fierke

I was born in a suburb of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. My mom introduced me to art at a very young age, so I have been painting and drawing as long as I can remember. I have previously studied animation, where I developed an interest in image seriality and capturing vitality through drawing. When I switched to studying painting, I became aware of how surrounded I have always been by the urban environment, so it tends to influence my choice of subject matter.
