Allina Somodi

Alina Somodi is a self-taught Romanian artist based in Bucharest, working primarily with acrylic and mixed media on canvas or paper.

With a background in economics and interior design, she transitioned from a long corporate career to embrace painting as a deeply personal and joyful path of exploration. Her art is a vibrant exploration of freedom, rhythm, and emotion — an invitation to connect with the beauty of imperfection and the depth of human experience.

Each piece is created through a playful, instinctive process that celebrates curiosity, inner truth, and the courage to feel. Alina’s gestural abstractions are rooted in intuition, built through textured layers and spontaneous mark-making that reflect her emotional landscape.

Drawing inspiration from nature’s organic forms and the clarity of minimalism, she uses color, form, and texture as a personal language — a bridge between the self and the shared world. For Alina, abstract art is both meditation and self-discovery — a soulful, visual dialogue that invites contemplation and connection.
