Wei Li Leow

Leow Wei Li is a mixed media artist based in Singapore. Her practice explores the creative potential of everyday objects and materials sourced from her life and surroundings. Working with household items, surplus, and discarded objects, she delves into themes of materiality, sustainability, and the value of overlooked items. Her work is inspired by the inherent qualities and visual forms of these materials, transforming them into something new through painting, collage, and sculpture. By questioning their place in a consumer-driven society, her art invites viewers to rediscover the significance and wonder in these mundane elements, revealing the beauty and poetry that resides within the ordinary.
