Carmia Vorster

I am Carmia Vorster, 23 years of age. I was born and brought up in a small town, namely Saldanha and now live in Cape Town
It was only at the age of 16 that I’ve discovered my passion, love and ability to draw.
My passion for creating art is driven by conveying emotion and to stir something inside of the person looking into the artwork.

I use photorealism as a technique to try and accurately portray the same emotion that I felt when I first laid eyes on the photograph that inspired me to draw the given piece.

Using pencil, I feel it best equips me to technically achieve and capture the details and emotions.

I love that creating art is the form in which my heart overflows. It is undeniable heart-work.
