BIOGRAPHY

My name is Gleb Skubachevsky, I am an artist, painter, is based in London, United Kingdom.
I was born in Moscow in 1989. I acquired an excellent academic education.
2005-2010 – studying at the Moscow State Academic Art School in memory of 1905
2010-2016 – studying at the Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov
2013-2016- a turning point in my art biography was applying at Aidan Salakhova and Sergey Ossovsky’s studio “Contemmporary art”. Their mentorship became the starting point for the formation of my own artistic concept. I started to explore the possibilities of materials and the limits of reference, creating large canvases.

In 2015, at the Dukley European Art Community I’ve finally developed my author’s technique on the border of painting and plasticity: ornate, fragile volumes of paper, mounted on a wooden panel. The artworks overcome the plane surface without losing the quality of pictorial abstraction.
