Lilia Koleva-Bardarova is a multidisciplinary artist based in Sofia, Bulgaria—a historic capital steeped in millennia of cultural and artistic heritage. Holding a Master of Arts in Porcelain and Glass Design from the National Academy of Art and a degree in Painting from the Jules Pasquin Academy, she combines rigorous academic training with a dynamic creative practice.
Professionally engaged in product design, Lilia Koleva-Bardarova has established a distinguished brand specializing in bespoke cinema costumes and props. However, her true artistic passion lies in crafting original, conceptual installations and authorial objects, where she channels inspiration into works that transcend conventional boundaries.
Her sculptural practice explores an array of materials, including porcelain, red and black clay, fiberglass, and metal, with an emphasis on the intrinsic dialogue between form, function, and materiality. By experimenting with innovative techniques and unorthodox processes, she pushes the limits of her mediums to create striking, expressive forms that resonate with both aesthetic precision and emotional depth.
