Taru Kilpinen

I live in Finland and I make art in Helsinki. Art has always been a part of my life. I have had several exhibitions in Finland and in Europe. Collective and solo exhibitions. I completed completed Visual Artist -studies (2019) in Helsinki.

I get my inspiration from different materials and from nature. I have done textile sculpters, textile installations and paintings on plexiglass. In my art there is a modern aspect to old and ancient things. I like to play with different materials. In addition, I have studied shoe - design in Finland (1992).
As a young girl I found myself in Italy studing art. And many years later it came a possibility to do art in Florence again. I studied art at art school in Italy (1988) at Lorenzo di Medici in Florence, and year 2019 I spent time at artist residence at La Macina di San Cresci . There came the idea to paint on plexiglass and have an exhibition in Florence.
