Unlike many Art Schools at the time Heatherley’s was run along the lines of a 19th century Parisian Atelier, with the emphasis on honing one's observational, drawing & painting skills. It was exactly what I was looking for, and I'm happy to see many more schools paying attention to these basic necessities, or ateliers opening up to meet this essential need.
