I have worked as a London based advertising Photographer for nearly thirty years.
Fine art photography allows an escape from that speed driven, deadline based commercial world where imagery has little longevity. Photographed digitally on medium format equipment these large, printed images are reproduced in extraordinary detail and offer an antidote to a fast moving world.

The cameras long shutter exposure and a shallow focal ‘depth-of field’ create all the necessary magic.
The varying frequency of movement within the sea, sky and shoreline transforms them into blocks of colour and shade to become abstract landscapes. A place where everything has changed an alternative reality where only the horizon is a constant.
